We're puttin' the best minds in America to work on this effort. The Department Defense recently garnered some 6 — gathered 600 leaders from industry and academmia, the national laboratories, the National Academy of Sciences, all branches of the military, and every — uhh, relevant government agency to discuss technology solutions to the IED threat.
Dubya's truncated variation of the Department of Defense, use of the word "garnered" instead of "gathered", and mispronunciation of "academia"... All missing from the official White House transcript. George Washington University, Washington, D.C., Mar. 13, 2006 The American people appreciate Ireland's work... to help secure passage of Resolution 1441. ...We appreciate our own support for ensuring that the just demands of the world are enforced.
There's nothing quite like appreciating yourself, White House, Mar. 13, 2003 We're a peaceful nation and moving along just right and just kind of having a time, and all of a sudden, we get attacked and now we're at war, but we're at war to keep the peace.
That sure doesn't make sense, White House, Mar. 13, 2002 He is — as I mentioned in my speech, I do mention the fact that this is a fellow who is willing to commit youngsters to their death and he, himself, tries to hide — if, in fact, he's hiding at all.
On Osama bin Laden, White House, Mar. 13, 2002 Well, as I say, we haven't heard much from him [Osama bin Laden]. And I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure. And, again, I don't know where he is. I — I'll repeat what I said. I truly am not that concerned about him.
So much for "Wanted Dead or Alive"... White House, Mar. 13, 2002 Well, it got my attention this morning when I read about that. I was stunned, and not happy. Let me put it another way — I was plenty hot.

Turning the logically obvious into a statement meant to show his "understanding", as only Dubya can, Washington, D.C., Mar. 13, 2002 There's nothing more deep than recognizing Israel's right to exist. That's the most deep thought of all. ... I can't think of anything more deep than that right.
Deep. Washington, D.C., Mar. 13, 2002 Some of what needs to be done didn't require law. I'm glad you brought that up. We just got 245(I) passed in the House of Representatives. Hopefully, that will come out of the Senate quickly. That's a step toward — that's a good reform, is one that I support. The White House transcript cleaned up the end of the last sentence to be grammatically correct. Listen for yourself to hear Dubya say "reinnerate". White House, Mar. 13, 2002 Uhh, he [Osama bin Laden] is, uhh — you know, as I mentioned in my speech, I do mention the fact that this is a fella who is willing to commit youngsters to their death and he, himself, tries to hide, if, in fact, he's hiding at all. So I, I don't know where he is. Nor do — you know, I just don't spend that much time on him, Kelly, to be honest with you. I, I'm more worried about making sure that our soldiers are well-supplied, that the strategy is clear, that the coalition is strong, that when we find, uhh, enemy bunched up like we did in Sharikot Mountains — that the, uhh, that, that the military has all the support its need, it needs, to go in and do the job, which they did.
Amidst all the verbal wreckage, Dubya makes reference to the Sharikot Mountains, an area which is actually known as the Shah-i-Kot Valley. But there are parts of the monument lands where we can explore without affecting the overall environment.
This one is scary and humorous all at the same time, Washington, D.C., Mar. 13, 2001 The true threats to stability and peace are these nations that are not very transparent, that hide behind the, that don't let people in to take a look and see what they're up to. They're very kind of authoritarian regimes. The true threat is whether or not one of these people decide, peak of anger, try to hold us hostage, ourselves. The Israelis, for example, to whom we'll defend, offer our defenses. The South Koreans.
